Overview

LifeHub is designed as a local-first desktop application. Most working records are stored on the user's own device and LifeHub does not require a LifeHub cloud account for everyday use.

Information stored by the desktop app

LifeHub can store budgets, bills, expenses, income, calendar items, vehicle records, document metadata, preferences and other information that the user chooses to enter. This working data is primarily stored locally on the user's device.

Documents Vault

When a user chooses to move a document into the LifeHub Vault, LifeHub stores a managed local copy on that device. Storage use depends on the files the user adds. Users remain responsible for deciding what information to store and for protecting sensitive files appropriately.

Security

LifeHub includes optional PIN protection and may use Windows device authentication where supported. LifeHub backup files are designed not to include the user's LifeHub PIN. No security feature can guarantee absolute protection, so users should also keep their Windows account and device secure.

Backups and exports

LifeHub can create backups and exports. These files may contain personal information entered into LifeHub and should be stored securely. A backup should not be treated as encrypted unless the app specifically states that the backup is encrypted.

Website and hosting data

The LifeHub website is hosted by Netlify. When the website is visited or a file is downloaded, the hosting provider may process technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, request details and security logs as needed to deliver and protect the service.

Support requests

If a user submits the LifeHub support form, the information they choose to provide — such as their name, email address and message — is processed so the request can be reviewed and answered. Support requests should not include passwords, PINs, full financial details or other highly sensitive information.

Analytics, advertising and accounts

The current LifeHub website and Windows app are not designed around advertising or a mandatory LifeHub cloud account. If analytics, advertising, cloud sync or other third-party services are added in the future, this policy will be updated to describe that processing.

Data retention

Local LifeHub data remains on the user's device until it is deleted, reset or removed by the user or operating system. Support submissions and hosting logs may be retained by the relevant service provider according to its operational and security practices.

Your choices

Users can remove local LifeHub records, use the factory-reset option, delete managed documents, uninstall the app, and choose whether to submit information through the support form.
